Just Under the Wire

Well, at least I finished one sock in Socktober! I know, I know, it's not about finishing, it's about the socks. And really, I'm falling in love with sock making. It's so fun, so fast, and so fabulous! (oh goodness, the cheese!) But really, I got to play with cables here! I haven't done anything yet that has such a detailed cable pattern with all that twisting and changing. I am so pleased with this first one. My other foot is looking a little bit lonely though, so another Log Cabin Sock is on order. So many people are asking me to make socks for them now, which is exciting because that means I get to make lots of different kinds and styles and colors that I probably would not make for myself. At this point, I'm just hoping I don't get struck with second sock syndrome!

I promise I'll have better pictures once I finish the pair. I really need to stop taking pictures at night! The sock could look much prettier with some sunshine.

Sarah, the sock is gorgeous. What yarn did you use? What size needles? What pattern? That would be a great pair of socks to knit up for Christmas!!

It sounds like you won't get second sock syndrome. After all, all you have to do is take a look at this picture of your lonely foot to feel inspired to finish the second one!

Your sock looks like it was a fun knit, I doubt second sock syndrome will be problem. Cold feets also helps with churning out socks a bit faster. :)
