Long time no postey...
Wow, has it ever been a long time since I posted! I just finished up my finals today, yay! No more school for a whole month. I couldn't be more excited. I also finished up Stefanie Japel's
Camelia (above). Don't be expecting any modeled shots. It turned out absolutely adorable but somehow I just can't get the yarn to block up to the proper size. It's all fine and good on the blocking board but then two days later it's back to it's original size. My next step is the iron but if that doesn't work, I giving it to my little sister-in-law. Do make the sweater, it's just the "test" in test knitting that messed me up. Stefanie adjusted the pattern for all of our notes so the sizing is right now. I could just rip it all out and start over, but who has the time for that with Christmas coming up? I sure don't.
I also won a contest at
Georgia's blog a while ago and neglected to post photos of my winnings! I was so excited when i won, because I got this:
It is her merino tencel in the colorway Sadie. My photography doesn't do it justice. It's so soft and loverly. It's going to be socks, but I just can't decide for who! She also sent me some chocolate (Lindt chocolate on a stick) but that was so good it was eaten up right away with no time for photography! If you never have, go order some of her yarn. She is most fabulous. Thanks again Georgia!
I do have some other really big news coming up that I can't wait to share with all of you, but it might be a while before I can do so. In the mean time, i will post more knitting and photos now that I don't have homework to keep me chained to my desk. Huzzah!

Ooh, the test knit turned out so lovely! Sorry about the sizing issue. If this one doesn't work, you should definitely make yourself one. Why should you sis-in-law have all the fun?

Yay for you on 1) finishing the semester 2) doing such a fab job on Stephanie's test knit and 3) winning that most gorgeous yarn!
Time to rest, relax a bit and knit.

I am loving the new pattern. Perhaps it will be added to my neverending list of projects? :D
Lovely yarn!

It's a very pretty pattern, what a bummer it doesn't fit. =(

I noticed in your previous post that your favorite movie is Paris When It Sizzles. That's one of mine too! The test knit is pretty; it's a shame it didn't come out as you wanted it to. Enjoy your break from school!

Welcome back to blogging! :) The test sweater looks great - even if the sizing doesn't work for you to wear.
Love your prize yarn - can't wait to see what you knit up with it! :)

I'm right there with you! The semester is over and I have a month without schoolwork! Sooo sweet. Even though the sweater isn't blocking like you'd like it to, it's still very cute!

Your sister-in-law is a lucky gal, if she gets that sweater. Also, I love that sock yarn . . . I can feel it from here.
