Stashing

I cannot believe that it's been nearly a month since I last posted (which sounds like an addict meeting greeting, oy). I have been knitting. However, there are no pictures of said knitting. I'm working on a baby garment (which will hopefully be finished before that munchkin is born. I hate it when I'm not ready for a baby shower. I resorted to a magazine subscription to at least have a gift and will give the sweater later. Hate that!). I'm also working on another design piece which I am extremely excited about. Not to mention finishing up school (classes are almost done - forever! - do you understand how much knitting time this will give me?), doing numerous youth group activities, studying for my certification exams, harassing my husband to finish the new Harry Potter so I can read it, and catching up on my new favorite show online (don't you love free online tv?). Wow, I've been a busy girl.

But wait! I have also been organizing.

Ah, how do I love Ravelry. Meet my stash.

This was really good to go through and label and arrange and remember what I have in the closet (not to mention just a little bit scary as I didn't realize I had so much yarn). There are so many projects that I really want to work on but that I just don't have time for right now! BUT NOW i have them all organized in Ravelry so that when the mood for a new project strikes I can go look and *voila!* a project will be easily selected. No burrowing through the massive cardboard box of plastic baggies. No guessing what might be in the other 2 plastic bins. Next project is going to be the needles.

Hopefully I will have some pictures of actual knitting to share with you soon. I have been regretfully absent from the bloggy world as of late but hopefully that will change soon. Hope you all have been enjoying your summers!

Hey there! Welcome back. :)

I haven't yet added my stash to Ravelry but more and more I think I need to buckle down and just do it. It just sounds like so much work.

There's something about summer that makes just about everyone slow down a bit in the blog writing. Sometimes in the knitting too. The days are long and it's the perfect time of year to get those extra things done!

I can't wait to see some pictures of the knitting! That yarn looks very yummy. You let your husband read the harry potter first??? That is perhaps one of the greatest sacrifices in a marriage that I've heard of lately.
