A domain name.
Domesticat was talking about this the other day and it's been rolling around in my head for a long time now. I want my own domain for a variety of reasons but have had a real problem deciding on a good name. Persnickety.com and .net are both taken. Then there's always the option of persnickity. .Net is available there. Then I start going off with variations on the theme, like persnickit.com, persnicket-y.com, persnick-knit.com, and even more cheesey from there! I've also been thinking about branding myself and there are other Persnickety or Persnickity sites out there related to selling other crafty items (no knitting but there are purses, clothes, etc..). I'm not sure how that relates to ever offering patterns up here or not.
All of that to say, I'm opening up the choosing to those who actually have to find and read my blog. What do you think? What would be easy to find, easy to remember, not horribly cheesy, not necessarily knitting related, and down right cool :) ? I'm also open to something completely un-pernsickety related if you think it suits me and it's really awesome.
For my favorite, there will be some sort of yarny reward. I have a massive stash at the moment but I will offer up something good to the winner (maybe some KSH? Who knows...). So spread the word. I need HELP!

One of my new favorite blogs is Freckle Girl. Jessica's blog is just adorable, as is she, and her wit and knits are fabulous. I haven't been reading her blog for that long but what I've seen is good times. Go check her out!

Well, I am back into the knit blogging world. I did have another blog for quite a well (Nikki Knits). For a variety of reasons that I can't get into here, I had to shut it down. For another variety of reasons, I have been able to start up another blog. Since Blogspirit is definitely FREE and definitely has more fun toys for me to play with than Blogger, I have wound up here.
I am really looking forward to getting back in touch with all the bloggers I met before. I have been keeping up with some of your blogs in the last few months while life has been crazy and I see some amazing things going on out there. I am excited to be back, excited with my new blog look, excited about my new blog 'identity' (I am truly persnickety), and more excited than ever about my knitting and your knitting.
So if you've come by, thanks for stopping in! I've tried to put up some posts of finished knits I've done in the past. I've got more to add and other things I'm working on so hopefully the blog will grow as I do. I have a lot of ideas for what I want to do with this new blog. Other bloggers have been branching out from the norm and I'd like to do somethings that are a little differente, time allowing. For example, Eunny has posted some really insightful, beautifully designed lessons on lace. Lolly has project spectrum going on. I see some amazingly creative women flaunting their talents all over the place! I'm glad to be joining in the fun once again.
